Half-Term and Exam closures

Please note that there will be no sessions at Emerson Park on the 14th to 17th February as the school is closed for half-term.

For Bower Park, the two weeks either side of half-term the hall is being used for exams and so their closures are on 9th, 16th and 23rd February.

Forthcoming Tournaments

A 1* competition is for those with none or little tournament experience whereas a 2* is for those that have played in more competitions or done well in 1*. If anyone has any questions please speak to their coach or contact Amanda. You will need to check for entry closing dates as they are usually several weeks before the event.

Here is a list of the Essex Futures tournaments currently planned for 2022:

Southend 2* 2022 (Sat. 12th Feb 2022). Southend & District Junior Badminton Association are running a 2* tournament.

Redbridge 1* 2022 (Sun. 6th March 2022). Redbridge Performance Centre are running a 1* tournament at Redbridge.
Redbridge 2* 2022 (Sun. 24th April 2022). Redbridge Performance Centre are running a 2* tournament at Redbridge.

Chelmsford 1* 2022 (Sat 28th May 2022). A 1* tournament at Chelmsford County High School.

New Year Reminder for Badminton Resumption ....

Happy New Year to everyone.

A reminder that sessions resume at Emerson Park on Tuesday 4th January and at Bower Park on the 12th January.

Emerson Park have asked us to let everyone know that masks must now be worn in all communal areas of the school - this does mean the entrance in and out of the Sports Hall. Please ensure that you / your child have a mask with them and comply to this at all times. There will continue to be hand sanitiser and wipes available for use. 

Please keep an eye out for messages and/or the website to keep up with any changes on either COVID or school restrictions.
