Restarting Badminton - please complete our survey

It has been a really difficult time for everyone and we are now looking into the options we have around starting Eagles Badminton Club sessions again. We have produced a quick survey to help with our decision making.

Here is the link to our survey:

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KVWZ69Z

It is really important that you complete this as soon as possible so we can gauge opinion and numbers. Also attached is our membership form which we would like you to complete if you are rejoining. This is an essential part of what we need to do to ensure that we are COVID compliant.

We are doing our utmost to try and get sessions back up and running whilst adhering to all the rules and guidelines from both the Government and Badminton England. We need to ensure that the club is viable and that we have coaches and players in enough numbers to make the sessions cost effective. Once we are able to start we will publish the rules that will need to be adhered to for our sessions to take place. Of course these rules are changing all the time and we will do our best to keep you updated.

It is really hard to know when the best time is to reopen, so in the survey we have given different options and as part of this we have said to start standing orders on October 19th. If we are able to resume in September then these sessions will of course be free as a welcome back from us. The majority of our members paid their March fees which we used to cover the fixed costs we had in that period that still needed to be paid. If you are having financial difficulty then please speak to us in confidence and we will see if there is any way that we can help. We don't want to lose players due to this and our priority is to get people back on court playing again in a safe environment.

We will not know for sure the exact start dates until the schools return in September so our notice to you all may be short. It will be really important during this time to keep an eye out for emails and texts as well as the website for any updates.

I am really looking forward to getting things up and running again and hope that it won't be long before we are able to be back on court again!! If you would like to talk to me about any of this or about our plans then please contact me.

Many thanks
